Thanks! I’m still new to the timelapse thing. I’ve been a photographer for over 30 years, but having recently moved to a place with some of the darkest sky around, I’ve been enjoying exploring astrophotography, auroras, and playing around with timelapses.

It takes a lot of still images to create a timelapse. Typically I’m shooting from just after sunset until just before sunrise, and depending on the exposure time that will only generate a minute or so of video.

This was with my Panasonic GM5, an older Micro Four Thirds camera. It has the features built in, and does a nice job of it. I also have Nikons, and the newer models also have this feature built in. For my older models, I use a timer for capture, and photoshop or virtual dub to make the video.
