If you have anything to do with podcasting this is one of the people you have to thank for the medium's very existence. Sad day for the industry, excellent obituary from James Cridland.

I wrote about my decision to participate in civil disobedience this week and what keeps us from action:

civil disobedience, 2025
It costs me less in every sense to incur the penalty of disobedience to the State than it would to obey. I should feel as if I were worth less in that case. (Civil Disobedience, 1849)

On the eve of the 49th AIG Women's Open this is a great golf story but an even more amazing life story. Jennifer Lucas, the winner of the first Women's British Open in 1976, and the tale of the twin sister she didn't know she had until she was in her mid 50's.

After a delightful UK launch & a US launch that made international news, this is a unique book release event, celebration & comedy show in one. The live show will be followed by a Q&A and signing of the ~actual~ book with Alice.

Re Rory’s participation in the Aussie Open. It is to be hoped that his presence will encourage others to make the trip, just to play the magnificent Royal
Melbourne (not holding my breath of course).

Have you played Bonville Golf Resort lately? Had the pleasure of returning there for a photo shoot recently and thought it was in the best shape I have seen it. Here are just a few images from the shoot to whet your appetite.

Hard to believe. The excitement when this course opened was off the charts in our circle. If you were a Sydney golfer at the time it felt like the Gold Coast arrived at Cattai.
Can you believe its almost 40 years since the first soil was turned in building the original Riverside Oaks course? It was in great shape for a photo shoot I completed for a feature in this month's edition of Golf Australia Magazine.

On the best player post-Tiger and an inexplicable 11 year wait for the Grand Slam. Or maybe not so inexplicable given the pitch into Rae's Creek and the 72nd hole wedge flared into the bunker.
Quail Hollow and a home game at Portrush await. Oakmont too.
