True. I read that male-pattern DSD are hugely overrepresented in elite women’s sport. So the impact of this testing could be sensational.
But the issue should be fairness: these type of intersex people (unlike eg CAIS) go thru male puberty and that gives them a simply unacceptable advantage.

It is WAY more complex than people make out. But why would a policy based on *humane* offshore processing of asylum seekers not work? That way we could help women and kids instead of encouraging young men to potentially drown on the crossing. A lot more different thinking needs to go into this.

I’m totally with you on the “tax dodgers, corporate raiders, and oligarchs who have asset stripped Britain” (this really needs to be addressed but is sadly off the agenda) but I think anti-migration feeling is a whole lot more complex than just gullible people being misled by populists/media.

The main thing is for progressive people to see things from an average person’s POV. Not easy for any side, but it’s the key to genuine progress.

I don’t do propaganda, I read, a lot. I’d recommend The Blank Slate for scientific proof of human nature and hence why everything you think and write is based on the wrong premise. You are probably a v nice person, like most liberals I know, but you need to get back to 1st principles.

Hi Nicola, have you read Paul Collier’s book on refugees? It has some great ideas for some genuine changes to the global system that might really help them.
And stop them dying on risky boat trips, by giving them hope of achieving salvation in the West.

Is it not possible to admit that our imperialism was wrong and relatively damaging, but was (a) standard behaviour throughout history and (b) less damaging than most (all?) other empires?
