The DLC has my biggest gripe, though. They added this gen's unnecessary "Food buff" mechanic, but then made it RNG so putting in the same combinations will result in different buffs. And the distortions having time limits just limited my fun as well.

I think a big part of it boils down to them realizing just how repetitive the whole Z-A Royale is, hence why it's abridged. But the fact that is just becomes "do promotion, fight mega" over and over makes it somehow even more formulaic than the regular games.

I love (sarcastic) being told over and over "he's nice" when the game shows absolutely none of that. Which sucks, cause I love his outfit, and some of his backstory is kinda funny, but it still feels unearned every time they say he's a good guy.
