That's because people like Chait, Friedman and Klein (two other contenders for the consistently wrong take award) aren't commentators, they are propagandists.

Every peso not spent on rail in Mexico City is a peso wasted.

I really don't understand why Marvel movies have been such blockbusters when really there's only 2 or 3 that are on the level of a mid-tier Mission: Impossible film.

What Starmer has been doing is not popularism though, since almost all of his major policies have actually been quite unpopular (hence his constant U-turns on everything). Starmer's main and sometimes sole policy directive is to destroy any semblance of the left in his own party.

Include only donations to organizations that they don't own themselves and the figure is even lower.

Glad you spoke truth to power and asked all the relevant questions rather than waste time asking things like why he didn't abolish ICE.

Yeah Musk (and a few others like Thiel and the Palantir dork) is way past the point of no return but I definitely see many of the other tech goons suddenly pretending they were liberals all along, especially if the AI bubble bursts between here and the next election.

Ukraine's is a man-portable system with a blast radius around the size of an artillery shell. A single full TOS-1 salvo can saturate an area the size of eight blocks. No comparison in the civilian mass-killing capacity of both.

For the record, the US used thermobaric weapons quite extensively in Vietnam and Russia is a massive user of them, even having an entire rocket artillery system (the TOS-1) based on them which has been used with impunity in Ukraine.

I'm a bit disappointed with how the Xenomorph looks. Too rubbery, none of the dripping slime that has always covered it. Really looks like it was made by AI. All the other monsters look very CGI as well, even the eyeball which is saved less by its appearance and more its behavior.

I understand he has quite a lot of support among Labour MPs but I get no sense that actual Labour voters like him at all.
