A lot of people talk about how social media steals our attention. Fewer people talk about why we are so desperate to have it stolen.

Companies don’t hire Chief #Philosophy Officers or Heads of Psychology. No one is sharing their ideas on the streets like the Stoics did. The relative lack of attention to introspection is not surprising: people have put a man on the moon seemingly without this metaphysical talk.

Have we truly managed to grow up when:
- we constantly need to have someone to agree with us: experts, consultants, LLM chatbots (are we too scared to make a mistake like we’re still at school?)

How many adult people know what they like to eat, smell, listen to, look at or do professionally? How many people even like what they’re doing professionally?
