& unfortunately even neurotypical AFAB pts have this issue. Bad enough med students don't study the female body enough. Many autoimmune diseases are relatively new in the grand scheme of things since we're living longer, but our quality of life has gone down - so they're still widely understudied

Aw :< Yes, always ask to clarify what they mean! I notice Dr's don't always do a good job explaining the nuances & their alotted time w/patients makes it harder. It causes a lot of bad communication & distrust between patients & providers, esp among AFAB patients

yes, our bodies do begin it's decline in our late 20s-early 30s, so it's so important to condition them in the long run (exercise is important even for chronic pain peeps). They're not wrong. But also for AFABs in this time frame, our bodies begin to become susceptible to autoimmune disorders
