This tornado outbreak this past weekend produced some incredibly eerie and beautiful shots! I'm especially obsessed with the lightning in the first one, illuminating a tornado in Belzoni, MS. 🌪️⛈️🌀

I've taken up journaling as a creative outlet and means to relax myself amid...everything. It really appeals to my younger self, who was obsessed with collaging. Not sure how I feel about last night's effort; sadly the grasshopper lost a few limbs and some fabulous plumage from his cap in clipping.

Rather amused by this entry in the friendship album of Michael van Meer, c. 1614-15. The pup looks quite pleased with itself at having ensnared some fowl, but I daresay its mistress is not so thrilled!

Finally got around to watching Midsommar tonight...not sure it lived up to all the hype, but it was definitely a worthwhile trip. And who doesn't love a Final Girl? 🌹🏵️🌼🪷

I love how meta this plate-printed cotton furnishing fabric, designed by Jean-Baptiste Huet and manufactured by Jouy, is in its depiction of the processes involved in the making of such textiles as itself.

For the Twenty-Fourth and final Day of Advent, we have this Flemish ebony, ivory, and pietra dura cabinet, boasting its own menagerie of many beasts! The pietra dura panels date from the latter half of the 17thC. and the stand from the third quarter of the 18thC.
