The pantographs on these locos are to cope with gaps in the third rail, necessary for certain types of turnouts and crossover tracks. There would be a small section of overhead wire to help the locos over the dead zone

They're good fun, I like old school electric locos! Especially ones with air whistles, when the railroads weren't quite sure what to make of them yet

Painted ballast is so much easier in case you ever want to change your mind IMO

I really like how this looks! Handy little layout!

I think what prompted me to draw a cartoon version of this loco is the skyline casing on top of the boiler. Gives the whole engine a very unique silhouette, like she's got a big mohawk

It's a very interesting project, and I hope production goes well!

My life circumstances right now have been rather busy and I'm not sure if I'd be able to fully commit to animating for your series - If that changes, I'll let you know

Alts of the two locomotives on their own

I broke the layers up in a way that would allow me to animate this as a little scene. Should I do it?
