Ok I'm done with the mini milestone I gave myself to adress the feedback from the last playtest that still needed to be adressed. While the game content didn't change much, the things that were already there improved a lot !

A recurring problem in every playtest was that players wouldn't understand how the storm would spread the sand.

So I made "fake storms", that are just gust of winds, that would show a bit of sand spilling onto the tiles or blocked by walls.

It also adds to the ambience !

Little update on what's going on with Storm Settlers.

After releasing the steam page, I put on my producer hat and made a big planif, noting every single tasks needed to reach the final release and giving them a time evaluation.

To add diversity to the settlers, I made them a different outfit based on their current job.

Can you guess what's each of their jobs ?

For variety and extra feedback, I created a special idle animation for the civilians for the different jobs they can have.

The city looks a lot more alive !

I'm done with my planned gameplay changes en route toward a playtest on April 7th !

I just need a bit of polish, tweaks and bug fixes and I'll be happy to hear everybody's feedback !

This might sound late for a citybuilder 😂
but my game finally has roads !

This will help to have more thoughtful placement of buildings to have more strategy and player driven choices.

I added caravans into my citybuilder. They are a group of either new people wanting to join you city and/or merchants passing by to offer some trade deals.
