Saw an AEW fan suggest complaining about MJF to HBO Max and TBS the same way they reported the ICE ads on Dynamite.

There is a pocket of AEW fans that have been stuck in permanent flight or fight mode since 2022. They just refuse to heal and move on.

That's because they aren't really looking for a "savior". They just want WWE to be good because that is the only promotion they want to support. They don't really like wresting as a whole.

If the biggest promotion in the world are doing these numbers, what should the ALTERNATIVE be doing? Keep in mind many WWE fans hate AEW and will never give it the time of day. There aren't that many wrestling fans out there in general let alone the ones who want something different.

We have to put things in perspective in regards of the audience for prowrestling. Wresting is a niche thing, WWE included. If Smackdown is around 1.2 million on cable, Raw is around 2.5 million globally on Netflix after a week and NXT 650K on broadcast, AEW's 500K with no Max count isn't terrible.
