Asian Civilazations Museum: honestly a little overwhelming for me, it's one of those museums where the seeing the artifacts is the primary focus which usually I don't like, but this museum is all about the ways in which cultures mix. Definitely in all day thing, or multiple visits place.

SG National Museum: As someone from the US, I don't have much knowledge of SEA history, so a lot of the museum was interesting and informative, which is genuinely what I love about going to museums: learning about different topics you otherwise wouldn't have.

Last week I decided to stay in the hotel and just rest and relax. This week, some touristy stuff given I'm in Singapore.

Went to 2 museums: the Singapore National Museum and the Asian Civilazations Museum. Also passed by Boat Quay (looks cool but definitely tourist trap-y)

There's a Mensho Tokyo near the hotel I'm staying at in Singapore and I was more than happy to spend my per diem to have one of the best meals in my life: A5 Wagyu Abura Soba 🤤

Very glad that my book club book came in time. My original order got canceled, panicked and rushed this one. Going to be away for business for most of this month 😅. If this didn't come today I would have been screwed 😭

If you ever have free time in the bay area for whatever reason, I absolutely recommend the Oakland Museum of California. It is extremely well designed, does a great job in introducing you to a lot of Californian and American history that doesn't get discussed much and is very thought provoking.

The last 4 hours of the flight were pretty rough but I survived @_@

Greetings from Singapore!

Going to Singapore for a work trip, then after that a personal trip to Japan and Korea. Excited, but got a direct 16 hr flight to deal with 😅

At the Ado concert in san Jose in the SAO Center and blown away by how poorly they've organized this concert is the line to get in is crazy and the merch is outside the venue 😭 you'd think an arena that has a professional sports team would know how to get people into the building

Day 8 (7/5) and had a ton of fun!!! More @reikaze.bsky.social stuff than this account will be in the future, but went to Frank and Sons Collectables for Pokemon cards, Venice Beach to see the beach + street ball, Hololive Dodgers night and the Virtual Vacation Nimi concert.

Day 6 of the trip (7/3) was Fremont street and Omega Mart in Vegas then ending the day in LA for a concert.

Had 2 hrs for Omega Mart so i saw it but didn't go through the story - could spend a whole day there. Same thing with the pinball museum - can't believe I thought 1 day was enough for vegas.

Day 5 of the trip (7/2) was a bit of Route 66, Hoover Dam, Wagyu, Pinball Museum,Vegas Sphere and walking through the Vegas strip!

Treating yourself to meals like wagyu make life worth living, the pinball museum is awesome and the sphere is a fantastic venue.

Day 4 of the trip was a full day in GC. I used it to see the rest lf the south rim (pima point is awesome!) and hiked down for an hour or two (really out of shape, definitely struggled with that!)

As an aside: I'm glamping (tent but with bed and showers etc) and holy shit the sunset is beautiful and the night sky with minimal/no light pollution is stunning. I'm going to probably spend a few hours admiring the night tomorrow as well. (Excuse the amateur photos, doesn't do it justice)

Day 3: Grand Canyon! I've wanted to do grand Canyon for so long, but never gotten around to it. I was not prepared by the sheer awesome size of it. Its so large one's sense of depth stops being able to gauge it properly. It's hard not to want to take a picture when every angle is jaw dropping.

Tijuana was pretty cool, the food markets are awesome, the food is delicious (had some of the best tacos of my life), but TJ feels like a tourist destination despite itself not nessisarily because of itself.

Day 1 was great! Went to point loma and got a great view of the bay, drove through the La Jolla scenic drive + Mt Solidad, spent time in Balboa Park and went to the book-off!
