Having a massive nerd out to this glorious collection that just arrived in the posts. Thanks to @thisnorthernboy.bsky.social who’s glorious illustrations posts over the past years put me onto this kickstarter, and to @adamstation.bsky.social and the other involved in creating these beautiful things!

Fabulous workshop for the last two days at the University of Pisa. And have to admit, A massive travel bucket list item ticked off. What a great place for a short visit. Didn’t have a friend to take the classic “holding it up” photo, so had to improvise with a destructive selfie!!

For those curious. That lovely rock forms one of the 16 40ft monolithic pillars supporting the portico of the Pantheon, transported all the way from the ancient Roman quarries of Egypt. Probably my favourite ever building, I have wanted to see since I was little. So amazing to have finally visited!

Respect for knowing where this lovely rock column came from. And where it is now! #UrbanGeology #rocks #holiday!

11 hours of talks and workshops finished. One more hour of talking still to go in the morning and then I can start the long journey home. Absolutely shattered. But it’s been great touring around this awesome country! Right now, time to chill with a drink and a book

Seems about time to start my Bluesky journey. So starting it with a big journey! Heading off for a two week, three state tour of Australia to do some seminars, workshops and department visits. Wish me luck. Think it’s going to be tiring!
