I keep wondering if it's just a nice way of saying, "we clocked you as trans during the in-person interview and this is the safest way to reject you." Wouldn't be the first time that a company did all the right things on paper then stabbed me in the back (hi Lagunitas!).

Honestly, whether or not you enjoy it, I think it's poor form to call art created purely out of passion and sincerity for a tiny community of marginalized people "slop". It's fine if you don't like it, but save that demeaning language for genAI output and written-by-committee corporate content.

People should save that term for generative AI garbage and corporate written-by-committee content, not as a way to punch down on small creators they don't like.

I think it's a wildly shitty thing to call art made with sincerity and passion for a small community of marginalized people "slop", but what do I know.

At this point I've given up on trying to help other people understand where I'm coming from and try to interact with the rest of the world as little as possible, outside of my small social and artist circles. Just going to the grocery store takes so much out of me because of The State Of Things now.
