When we nurture a sense of wonder, when we let awe live, when we allow ourselves to be amazed at something outside us, then we grow joy. When we collectively grow joy, all humanity benefits. We need to practice this on a daily basis; it’s even more important right now. Practice awe, teach others.

Science begins with observation. Little, or big, things that make us pause, wonder, and start to question.

It took me four days in this library to notice this. And now I have questions. Delightful questions.

What caused you to pause and wonder today? And…how did that wondering make you feel?

[chuckles] what’s the difference between a scientist and a magician?

Magicians never reveal their methods; scientists never shut up about them.

Want to go down a real rabbit hole? Ask a scientist what they’re working on. Seriously, they’ll talk your ears off.

Science makes sense. Science is for everyone. Science isn’t hard, it’s paying close attention to things and then figuring out how to isolate and test what’s happening. Then do it again. Let’s demystify science. The future of human existence on Earth demands it.
