Sadly, an accurate reflection of our current state. The US had fallen to new depths; embracing fascism, emboldening a fake dictator,& his circus of under-qualified cult idiots. Lady Liberty deserves better. The 1/3 that voted for this chaos, take a good look at the dystopian future you created.

Seriously, how many ways can this administration and the F’Elon ruin American peoples’ lives? Is this one of those learning lessons where you have to step back in order to move forward? I hope not because we’re stuck in reserve until we reach the 1800s. Why do you hate Americans so much?

I am going fly fishing outdoors in 25 degree weather to mourn the death of American democracy. What a sad sad day. Sorry MLK, you have to share this day with a rotten orange.

No Kokanee today but there’s blue sky. A nice reminder to continue protecting our precious Earth for everyone now and future generations to enjoy.

When news and social media outlets deliver sadly embarrassing headlines there’s always fly fishing. Thank you Mother Nature for the gift of fresh air, beauty of fly fishing, and a young steelhead to cheer the sadness away.

Last day of 2024 at Cabrillo National Park San Diego. Welcome 2025! It will be a long bumpy road ahead. I just hope that the damage won’t be too severe and we will recover stronger than ever before. Together, we can survive the old rotten orange & e-shmuck. Cheers to humanity + people with morals!

Fisherwoman’s log, angler date 2024.12.14 - the moon is full and so bright, it’s BLINDING. That sounds nice for the next four long and painful years living in a mind boggling Twilight Zone episode.

Fisherwomen’s log, Angler date 2024.12.10 - the thought of Orange Joffrey Baratheon’s appointments of ill willed people is too much to bare. Even the cat is blocking me from reading the news.

Fisherwoman’s log, Angler date 2024.12.06, Oxford dictionary a patriot is “a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.” Is this what’s exemplified today? I think this is misuse of the word for an orange. Off to a beautiful sunrise.

Fisherwoman’s log, Angler date 2024.12.03, we are entering a new era of terror…but this won’t stop me from enjoying the haunting beauty of this lake. We need to stop the Time Machine! I refuse to go back in time!!!

Dec 1st 2024. I went fly fishing in 34 degree F. I caught a rock, seriously, the hook was in the crack. I caught myself. But guess what? The pain was so much better than reading US news. I actually smiled for a change.
