I just wrapped up my finals 2 days ago, my spouse and our child have their last finals on Monday. There was a near miss at child's college last week - a guy had the guns and the plan and just happened to be pulled over on the way there.

Trying not to cry. To your question: I don't know either.

And like when they used to roll out stats that people didn't like the ACA, but a big chunk of those people wanted it to go further, rather than wanting it to go away.

If many Americans don't like the way things are. BUT I bet there are considerable differences in HOW they don't like it + what they think solutions are. For example, I wish K12 Ed was better, but I think solutions are paying teachers better, more resources for schools, more support for families...

It's interesting that they say "most Americans" in the statement on COVID and inflation and then proceed to list numbers for only Republicans and independents. Are Democrats not Americans? Makes me question who is included in their later numbers. That said, I wouldn't be shocked if (1/2)

I think about the ethics of educational institutions encouraging student use of AI for this reason, and many others, all the time. It gives false information, reduces critical thinking skills, damages the environment, and may tell students how to commit suicide.

It is striking that they updated the government COVID website to say it's a dangerous virus that escaped from a lab AND also are basically saying that we should do nothing to protect ourselves from it, including even basic monitoring. Nothing new from this administration, but...
