I can’t begin to tell you how despairing it is as an American who’s father fought in Europe in ww2 to turn back fascism that it has taken root in our own country and we are now the bad guys. Fucking awful.

The only thing that makes any sense to me is that trump is destroying America from within at the behest of putin. The russians have been working on this project since the end of ww2. Now they’re earning real dividends.

Trump is only motivated by self interest. He’s trying to hand Ukraine to Russia. Why? Because it’s in his interest to do so. Uncovering the details of how it is in his interest to see Ukrainian sovereignty destroyed in advance of Russia’s goals is the story that must be told.
