Wild clay gets the attention it deserves this year. To me, simple things are often the most beautiful in the world, like my childish tulips, and this clay, taken from under a twisted old hawthorn tree on the edge of a green field. #wildclayclub #madeincanada #madeinquebec #ceramic #pottery

It's international day of the legume, and here is my bean collection 🤎🤎🤎

I've been collecting them for a few years, adding new ones I find at Seedy Saturdays. Probably my favorite thing to grow and store. They don't require much more than tucking them into the soil then harvesting them.

I need another kiln opening day like this one. Things are really bad right now. I feel like I've only just recovered from how messed up the pandemic was.

Stamped on paper with red iron oxide and then transferred onto the mug. These were not wildly popular, but they all sold, and I love them. Will be making more of these soon, especially more horses.

My first attempt at hand-building a Nerikomi mug ☕️

The Japanese art of Nerikomi is a pottery technique referring to the process of combining multiple colored clays to create patterns by stacking and slicing them.

Missing this today. I try to make the best of winter, but I'm always thirsty for my garden and the lush gifts it offers. These are Double Click cosmos.

Sweet little shelf experiment. Will be cooking up a few more of these this year.

Decorative porcelain tile made from some gathered plants. I love the pillowy flower. Today I am firing this same imprint on my rustic brown wild clay, and we will see how I can enhance the texture enough for it to work. These ones I'd like to have grouted into the side of a stone shed or something.

Going to re-share some works I have already posted on Instagram. This was a tile experiment. Stamped and transferred, red iron oxide pigment, porcelain slip, on red clay stoneware. I saw a woman who made tiles and covered all her walls in them. Someday, I'm going to do that too.
