No. They are making a much needed statement regarding the politicization of the arts by a narcissistic philistine who has illegally attached his name to a president in whose honour the center was established. Unlike some others, they have spines. And it comes at a financial cost for many of them.

It is such a treat to read the truth from a completely unbiased source. But we will no doubt hear that overused expression, "fake news" coming from (what's left of) the White House.

Ms. Wiles' assessment is interesting. In the sphere of alcoholism and rehab, someone who isn't working the 12 steps but is gritting their teeth and going it alone is commonly referred to as "dry drunk." Not drinking, but full of anger. He may not touch alcohol, but he has all the same behaviours.
