MERV standard (ASHRAE 52.2) only tests down to 0.3 um, what a particular brand of furnace filter does below 0.3 um is undefined per MERV. It might improve like N95 or HEPA but might not. Image from docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Turns out the Airplate S-9 has the same finger protectors.

🚨Don't use grilles in stock configuration!🚨
The stock finger protectors (pic 1) are attached between the fan and the ventilation grille—they leave gaps. CADR with them was 250 cfm, a 9% reduction.
Take them off and put the standard grills (included) on the *outside*! (pic 3)

Sickleflow are 💪 for pressure applications: 62 cfm, 2.5mm H20, 12V
Airplate fan is less suited: 52 cfm, 1mm H2O, 6.3V
AC Infinity sells the grilles + I have Sickleflow fans = 274 cfm Dust Equiv. CADR

Testing time! @lieslmcconchie.bsky.social's Airplate S-9 build. Dust equivalent CADR is about 200 cfm. I tested the configs I thought people would be interested in but if there are more let me know.
