old driftwood is weirdly resonant, this tree trunk washed up on a river beach and dried by the sun for years sang and wobbled when dropped, then eventually split itself apart from its own weight. I guess the water/sap in new wood dampens it

One of the benefits/challenges of working from home is being able to work at weird times of the day. Who works better outside 9-5? I get loads done if I wake up and do 6-8am then have breakfast

I watched a lot of amazing documentaries at DocLisboa and discussed them for hours with a lovely group of people. This is a gem of a cinema with a balcony you can have a drink on - never seen that before.
