Since it is going to be hot tomorrow, I thought I’d better see what AI has to say about Dave’s Syndrome” apparently it is real.

Hobart's (Tas) climate stripes. Mean max temp for 2024 of 18.4 C a tie for 3rd hottest with 2023. 1.2 C above the 1961-2010 avg of 17.2 C. Only 2 years below 17.2 C this century. 2019 @ 18.7 was hottest on record (since 1883). Standby for the usual crowd to say "See, it's actually getting cooler".

I was moderately disappointed with Jaguar’s new brand until I heard that Nigel Farage hated it, so now it has grown on me. Others have already pointed out that prior to 1939, the company’s name was probably more to his liking. Not withstanding all of this, the SS100 was a thing of beauty.

In case anybody was interested, here are the temperature graph and climate stripes for Hobart, Tasmania since 1890. Dark blue coldest, white average, dark red hottest. Looking very steep and red after about 1950 and getting steeper and redder. I’ll update it at the end of the year.
