I have to say Mr. Albanese, you truly know how to work a crescendo. I've been following Aussie news and politics for the better part of a year now. As a prospective Aussie working through their 189, it's a breath of fresh air watching actual humans speak.

Aussie election called! It will be interesting to watch a foreign election where a 3rd (Greens) and even 4th party (Independents) matter - what a breath of fresh air.

When worldbuilding, democracy falls when people convince themselves/are tricked into believeing democracy and institutions are useless because they're failing to defend "the nation/our values", and thus authoritarianism becomes the "only way to save us".

One day, it will be real for you. The luxury of choice will be removed for you, or the results will finally reach the heights of your lofty perch. Your family might finally be affected. Will it be too late by that time? Will you wait that long?

This is my new home. Time to start making it look like it.
