That’s David Lammy who has a masters degree from Harvard and was called to the bar. Jenrick has neither of these distinctions. Jenrick confuses general knowledge with intelligence. He also answered “Leicester” not “Red Leicester”. Given most Stilton is made in Leicestershire it’s a decent guess!

No idea. Probably as he was about the only pro-Brexit economist they could find. Meanwhile a large group of us paid for an open letter warning about the dangers of Brexit to be published in a variety of newspapers. I rarely saw an anti-Brexit economist on the BBC. The BBC let the UK down badly.

Patrick is a very nice man who I’ve met many times in my academic career. He’s very personable and easy to get along with. His political and economic views are very, very different to my own. Most academic economists I know like him, despite disagreeing completely with his views on economic policy.
