I wonder if Still tried too hard to be something he wasn't. The videos of him coaching in France are a world apart from what he appeared to be doing at #SaintsFC Maybe he felt the need to be ruthless with the players, and it backfired. Dropping players for individual mistakes = public humiliation

Agreed. I thought Still was a good appointment at #SaintsFC but maybe he's been found out a bit. In all his recent interviews he's openly critical of his players..."Hard work beats talent" FFS. If you're a Scienza or a Jander, who both worked hard yesterday, how do you take that comment?

I've no idea what goes on behind the scenes in the #SaintsFC dressing room, but it must be pretty grim in there. The relationship between players and manager seems shot to pieces. Do they actively hate each other?

The same thing happened last week against Swansea. Some evidence of shape in the first half, then Still intervenes, the shape disappears, #Saintsfc player confidence evaporates. It's almost like Will Still is handing the match to the opponent. Reverse Midas touch.
