Try this for an explanation of alphafold. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTN0... . For design, learning about tools like RFdiffusion, ProteinMPNN and Boltz would be a good start. (I'm a structural biologist with some experience of these tools)

Looks more like a buzzard to me though difficult to judge size from the photo (assuming UK based?)
