And because he’s accomplished so many targets in this term, there’ll be no need for a second.

Eeeesh. They’ll also struggle to get many huge guests committing to a week of prep for a show that can only be accessed by 12m subscribers. They’ll do it for NBC, not for Sky.

Had to zoom in to check because I genuinely believed for a second that he’d gone shirtless in his profile picture.

Cornered after saying something silly, gets defensive and lashes out with something silly. The lightest of weights.

I’ve known this quote for years and yet never appreciated how unhinged it truly is.

Yes that’s all a great BSky post and I’m sure it’ll bang but it wasn’t the point I was making and doesn’t really disprove that there are plenty of favourable jurisdictions worldwide for high net worth individuals.

You can tax the top .5% more but 1) that’s a highly mobile group who can and do move jurisdictions to mitigate this sort of thing and 2) it won’t actually generate that much. Raising substantial amounts means implementing broader measures that hit big swathes of the population.

Income Tax is ~30% of the UK tax take and is by far the biggest revenue generator (VAT’s #2 at ~19%). If you want to raise meaningful revenue that actually enables you to do big things, you have to look at IT.
