Executive compensation is rarely in the form of W2 income of more that 2.5 million. But, the point is that to normal people it seems ridiculous to tax anyone working for their money at 90%. Seems like hard core socialism/communism. A better argument is to go after unearned income.

Wage earners are never the "wealthy". There is no need to tax any wage earners at 90%. They are at least working for the money. Tax "unearned" income at or above the level of "earned" income.
