Australia has its next national election on May 3, using ranked choice voting as it has done for over 100 years. Fascinating to see how RCV & political organizing are increasing competition across districts & the latest overall instant runoff patterns.

From @fairvotecanada.bsky.social news release contrasting Germany's proportional w/Ontario's U.S.-style plurality system. Note seat distortions for Ontario Conservatives (65% of seats w/43% of votes), New Democrats (22% of seats w/18% of votes) & Liberals (11% of seats w/30% of votes).
