Saw the brilliant Butler Blake and Grant last night at the islington Chapel. Even the mad with the stupid big hair in front who kept moving his head to block my view of me couldnt ruin it.

Reading Mojo ( i love it) but the live ads are quite something. Ive not heard of any of of these venues that chesney hawkes is listing, nor can i believe many mojo readers would want to see him. Feels very odd, almost like a Le Carre spy code.

The more i read about John Smyth, his place in the Church, the respected lawyer who represented Mary Whitehouse and the cover up, the worse it gets. Listening to Nick Caves Oh Children just now, hit me hard. I went on Christian camps, thankfully I was not a victim, but its feels like a shadow...

The best seller Precipice by Rovert Harris, is all the more remarkable as the worse character in the novel is Churchill. In recent years WSC has been virtually sainted in the UK, its welcome to see Harris remind us of the thousands who perished due to this mans arrogance.

Nice to visit Canterbury catherdral on Christmas eve. It looked stunning as did the whole town. So much to see but found William Warhams tomb very topical, given he married Henry VIII and Catherine and was succeeded by Cramner.

This wonderful novel by Robert Harris reminds us that Prime Ministers tend to be fairly unhinged and utterly wreckless. But I also think the liberals pretty damn good too.
