Loved this at #spurs last night. Game a bit flat, but 4 wins out of 5. 4 clean sheets and only one goal conceded. The Thomas Partey apperance was so dreadful management, what were villareal thinking of.

And there is The Smiths connection, when they all pray on the beach, and thus becomes the iconic cover for how soon is now..mozzer really had style in the 80s

What a magical evening with a true living legend, 2 hours of classics, with loads of emotion and her voice as good as ever, not a dry eye in the O2.. thanks #DIANAROSS.

Lucky enough to see Hamet/Hail to the Thief last night...incredible production, the last 10 minutes were breathtaking, moving and violent. Then waking up this morning to the news its felt like Hamlet part 2. #hailtothethief

This in the guardian made me smile - silly country that we are..."The king has personally recognised the queen’s GP, Dr Nicholas Hugh, who has the title apothecary to the queen".

Saw the brilliant Butler Blake and Grant last night at the islington Chapel. Even the mad with the stupid big hair in front who kept moving his head to block my view of me couldnt ruin it.

In my youth this was never a problem, in the corner near the arial plug, Radio Rentals would set it up..

Oh Kate Rusby has a new album out and its damn wonderful, Kates best album for years. Our of our greatest vocalists, with some magical tracks, and killer political song to close that we have not had since 1980s prime Costello. @katerusby.bsky.social

Reading Mojo ( i love it) but the live ads are quite something. Ive not heard of any of of these venues that chesney hawkes is listing, nor can i believe many mojo readers would want to see him. Feels very odd, almost like a Le Carre spy code.

Not a bad choice..given everyone at school was buying madness and police.

Andy Roberts..my earliest test memories was see him destroy the poor helmetless England team time and time again..no fuss, just cool and extreme pace.

The more i read about John Smyth, his place in the Church, the respected lawyer who represented Mary Whitehouse and the cover up, the worse it gets. Listening to Nick Caves Oh Children just now, hit me hard. I went on Christian camps, thankfully I was not a victim, but its feels like a shadow...

The best seller Precipice by Rovert Harris, is all the more remarkable as the worse character in the novel is Churchill. In recent years WSC has been virtually sainted in the UK, its welcome to see Harris remind us of the thousands who perished due to this mans arrogance.

Nice to visit Canterbury catherdral on Christmas eve. It looked stunning as did the whole town. So much to see but found William Warhams tomb very topical, given he married Henry VIII and Catherine and was succeeded by Cramner.

This wonderful novel by Robert Harris reminds us that Prime Ministers tend to be fairly unhinged and utterly wreckless. But I also think the liberals pretty damn good too.
