It's worth noting that one of the big reasons why China emits so much is because *it makes everything that the rest of us use*. We largely outsourced manufacturing, and with it the associated consumption & emissions.

Isn't part of the poor voter turnout because of the electoral college? I know longtime Republicans here in California who don't bother voting anymore, as they see it as futile. Is that true in other strongly red/blue states?

Murray's point was more about direct journalistic investigation vs reading stuff on the internet, or seeing it on the news. He was a bit pretentious, sure, but it's a fair point. Expertise IS vital, but also not sufficient without quality data.

This version of credentialism is off the mark. Someone's undergraduate degree doesn't define the limits of their understanding decades later. Murray at least went there, & interviewed people. We may disagree with his analysis, but this dismissal isn't justified, & just more internet point scoring.
