to me, it almost feels like the GOP is sitting this one out. I know R candidates have announced, but they lack the state/national endorsements D's already have. I wonder how much is b/c they view it as a tough race, how much is due to NJGOP shock/disarray from Jack's significant loss.

I work in ecommerce. When California adopted CCPA, we had to decide how to comply. Do we offer the privacy controls only for shoppers in CA? It was easier (and legal agreed) to allow anyone to request data deletion. States adopting conflicting laws would be difficult to implement.
