The USA is a failed state on track to be an overtly fascist regime. Russia will be allowed to overrun Ukraine, China will take Taiwan, and Europe will see isolationism and all kinds of bigotry become mainstream politics.

The problem with this thought experiment, as I see it, is that Laplace's demon is assumed to be able to interact with the Universe, or that a construct embedded in the Universe is assumed to have access to the predictions of such a demon. These assumptions do lead to a paradox, but why make them?
