We are nearly through another year of Trump-as-President reality. It’s been a tumultuous and tempestuous time. Has exhaustion set in yet? I know from across the border, watching the unfold has been like swallowing crazy pills. Our cousins to the south must be threadbare by now. How’s it going?

I hereby tender my view of the future: Trump will go to war and under the pretext of war time privilege, assume Martial Law. Thereby removing the right to vote and instituting a tyranny. This is his only move to ensure there is no retribution for being a USA malcontent.

It’s taken America nearly 10 years to figure out what EVERYONE with a brain knew about Trump from day one. That said, we’re likely going to have to watch as the country struggles to understand the consequences of letting this dickweed rule them. Mark my words: he’s going to go nuclear before long.

There’s is no room for schadenfreude in this moment as witnessing in real-time the self-immolation of a sitting President is not a moment for joy - even though he’s a monster - because with it is the countless lives of Americans who have to suffer in the wake of his pettiness.

Just when you think America can’t get any more stupid or pathetic, the shutdown fight collapses under Democrats capitulating for terms they could have done 50 days ago. Instead, both parties made the country that much worse and the fight worthless. It’s about as disheartening and sad as it could get

In all my years on this planet, I’ve never seen the United States lose so much face, have its president in litigation, have a regime so unpopular, a tone-deaf leader on almost every subject, lose respect from allies, being laughed at by diplomats, and all the while blame everyone else for it all.

Reading the current news, specifically that which relates to Trump, is an effort in stopping eye-gouging. The amount of hypocrisy, idiocy and criminal behavior in the name of the US Government is absolutely disgusting. It’s also incredible watching in real-time as he destroys the country.
