I miss the best parts of you. Your larger than life presence has left this emptiness where you belong. Why aren’t you here? How can you not miss me too? I don’t want to let go of this love I have for you. You were the best thing that ever happened to this broken girl. I changed me for you in ways you never knew. You were worth abandoning my old self to be with. Being without you is surreal. I know more about myself than ever. I know why I was the way I was. I was a fool to let you go. I fought myself so hard to be good enough for you. Even when my heart strayed it was for someone just like you where you couldn’t be to protect me. I warned you so many times but you loved me so much in the beginning that you couldn’t believe I was the broken girl I have always known I am. I’m the monster under the bed trying to be the princess in the fairy tale. This is what that looks like. I hate it here without you.
