It’s more like what it would be like if the Borg ran the Shore Leave planet. It might have been an interesting 2 parter, but not 9 episodes.

I’m going to have to order a bottle to try. I live in a wine region in Californians central coast, but no one is growing Saperavi grapes here. I love deep, full bodied wines like Tannat and Petite Sirah.

Vince Gilligans other show, Better Call Saul, had the benefit of the Mike Ehmantraut/Cartel storyline. That allowed the show to take its time with the Jimmy McGill storyline when needed. Pluribus could use a better “B” plot.

It was studio financial problems that lead to a low budget follow up to the Living Daylights and studio legal issues created delays after License to Kill. This cut short his Bond career. I felt he most closely portrayed the Bond in the novels. He deserved a few more films.

Agreed. I should have been more clear and said “I wish he could have done a 3rd film.” License to Kill felt like a bad episode of Miami Vice. The studio cut the budget and it was filmed mostly in Mexico. Dalton’s debut as Bond was terrific. He deserved a 3rd try.

I wish Dalton had the chance to do another film. He showed promise in The Living Daylights.

It’s a solid scanner for both prints and documents. I finished scanning all my prints and now use it exclusively for documents. It’s fast, has double sided scanning and can create searchable PDFs from any document.

If it’s Rockford, that is another classic episode. William Daniel’s seems to elevate anything he is in.

I totally agree. Many of the episodes don’t hold up, but there were a few that remain classics. I also enjoyed "The Spanish Moss Murders" episode a lot. It’s a same the show wasn’t renewed for another season.

This is the best piece on Lynch I’ve read since his passing. It’s simply terrific. Thanks.

Many in my generation (50+) view Carter a good man, but a bad president.

It’s a terrific book and I bought a copy for a Xmas gift for my nephew. I always thought you have the knowledge and skill to write some great spy fiction in the vein of William F. Buckley or early Tom Clancy. I miss both of those guys. Have you ever considered that?

I’d roast the potatoes in an oven separately because they have a much longer cooking time. Just use the grill for asparagus and steak. Asparagus should take 5 minutes on direct heat, so put on after the steak. Use olive oil and Montreal steak seasoning on both the steak and asparagus.

I’m surprised Loomer and the MAGA wing hasn’t demanded that tariffs be placed on every imported engineer and use the funds to pay for STEM training in the U.S.
