Do you honestly not see the irony of a story about a member of the “silent” generation complaining to a bunch of strangers? Not a dig at them, just chuckling at their very wrong label.

I’m a moron? Could be worse. I could be throwing childish insults at strangers on the internet. Glad I’m not like that.

1) You said you grew up in the Midwest. I assume that’s where she sent the letter from. You said the car place was in Florida. What else should I assume?
2) just pointing out the irony of a “silent” generation feeling the need broadcast their feelings to a random car repair place

She sent a letter across the country to complain? Is “Silent Generation” supposed to be ironic?

In their defense, that’s because they were much too stoned celebrating 4/20. It was the responsible thing to do.

I’ve learned to enjoy the nightmares. At the end of the day, it’s just one more emotion. It has its own appeal. A bit like eating spicy food.

Hard pass. No way I’d ever go back to school. Work sucks, school was far worse.

Can’t argue that. There wasn’t much artistic merit to the books, so other than money no idea why they were written.

That’s a fair reading, and accounts for why Duncan was so important throughout history. But Leto II clearly stated in “God Emperor” that it was to preserve humanity, which the Scattering did.
To be clear, I think your analysis is good. But the books support more than 1 interpretation

Love this. I never saw the trans allegory in the original, but it’s there in bright, red letters 10 feet high.

Huh, new bucket list entry dropped. “Nude rock climbing”.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, but I would argue Frank did resolve the Golden Path. It was the survival of humanity at any cost.
Admittedly, I didn’t read Sandworms. By the time it was published I was so disappointed I couldn’t bring myself to read any more than the synopsis.

I know, right? I don’t know exactly what Frank had in mind for the Butlerian Jihad, but Brian’s version seemed so far away from it. To the point it seems like has no reading comprehension.
