Hard copies of Critical Data Studies book have finally arrived. The post schedule for parcels travelling from England to Ireland seems to have reverted to that of the medieval period. Great to have the book in hand: always feels like a different experience reading the printed book to the pdf copy.

Today is publication day for the new book - Critical Data Studies. But since my copies are stuck in Holyhead parcel pileup & open access version not yet available on publisher website I'm saving marketing stuff to new year. As a launch day it's a bit of an anti-climax! But it's no longer 'in press'

As illustration, here's the bibliography of 2e. All the text in red are new references. Given the enormous flourishing of data studies, minor tweaks were never an option

Met a few folks recently using 1e of The Data Revolution as a course text who haven't switched to 2e as thought it was a light refresh. 2e has 10 new chapters & rest rewritten. It's got 50% more content & fills in a lot of gaps re devs in Critical Data Studies. It's really not a light refresh
