When the West were in Afghan the Taliban were inert. Now India, on the basis of my enemy's enemy is my friend, are helping the Taliban to attack Pakistan. Pakistan, fearing encirclement, are fuelling the fight too. Trump's Afghan retreat may well start a new, war. The law of unintended consequences.

The right people (pun intended) have resigned but for all the wrong reasons. The Panorama misquote was bad journalism but didn't materially change what Trump was saying. Of course, they should be resigning over false balance and the over representation of RefUK across the BBC.

Good for Ukraine but Trump is such a transparent grifter. He only supports this policy because he knows a lot of that money is going to be spent on American arms. That said, Europe must now get this done.

The problem for America is this; the current battle over redistricting Congress seats is nearly identical to the pre Civil War dispute over the Mason Dixon Line and the extension of free Vs slave states voting rights into the west. It settles nothing other than entrenching division.

Ref - have hit their ceiling.
Lab - Will win if they reclaim the Grn vote.
Cons - terminal decline.
Grns - Honeymoon period but how about a defence policy?
LDs - Tactical voting could see them in coalition.

USS Iwo Jima is an assault landing ship, just the sort of platform to mount an amphibious commando raid from. We know fentanyl does not come from Venezuela so we must conclude that Trump is going to start a war to distract from domestic affairs.
