Whenever I play TF2: Classic, it kind of felt weird, and it's probably because of the polish. Don't get me wrong, TF2:C is neat, and it's really cool to see a more polished TF2, but it kinda sacrifices the rugged "rough around the edges" feel of TF2, it's like the smooth "normal" Spongebob.

I see your point about keeping the Gunslinger, but I'm more-so "agree to disagree" with the Eyelander. On one hand, apperance-wise, I get that it could fit Demo's scottish/highlander background, but on the other hand, it's been canonically stated to be haunted, and supernatural in nature.

IIRC, they said that they clash too much with the original launch game's depiction of the characters, where Demoman didn't originally have a connection to supernatural shit like Merasmus or Eyelander, or Engineer wasn't originally someone with a robot arm who hailed from a long line of Conaghers.
