If Walmart has to pay an extra 56% on items they import from China, Walmart is not going to "eat the cost", they will increase the amount they sell that item for in the US. Therefore, the consumer ultimately pays the for tariff(tax).

If they could get those items at a lower cost domestically, they wouldn't be importing. Cost of goods are going up, whether they find a domestic source or continue to import. And we, the consumers, will pay for it.

What does shutting down essential services do for Democrats and US citizens? The GOP wants us to do it, so they can blame everything from this point on on us. No thank you. We shouldn't hand them a get out of jail free card!

How is a shut down better? How is giving President Musk and Agent Orange an wounded dog-goverment to kick a better option? I hate this, all of this, but what is the better option? We either hand them the stoppage of essential services via a shut down, or we live to fight another day. What's plan B?

Executive orders are perfectly Constitutional,l. Taking action that does not require legislative action is Constitutional. Defying court orders is NOT Constitutional. Ignoring the legally required steps is NOT Constitutional.
