On the car ride he regaled us with many a cornish trivia and very clearly made the point that as far as he was concerned;
"The way to make a cornish your lifelong enemie is to call him english"

When I was on a vacation that took us to Cornwall we happened to get a flat tire right outside a very friendly gentleman that gave us a free ride to Truro so we could pick up our rental car - he was passionate of many things, among others Cornwallian separatism.

...elections and serve the term. In district court we sit three lay judges and one judge. Each of the members of the court have one vote so theoretically the lay members could out vote the judge (the only one that have formal juridical ed) But it is very rare.

Being part of the process i super interesting.
I cant of course relate the experience of sitting in US court, but I am a part timer in the Swedish one.
I sit as a lay-jugde approximately one day a month.
