Just watched Howard Hawks’ The Big Sleep for the 10th time. I am glad to announce I now understand about 50% of the plot. What a fantastic film

A master of his craft , blue velvet will always be my favourite but mullholland might be his best ( or maybe the straight story)

Rewatching Walker , a superb historical satire of American foreign policy and more relevant than ever . It is a travesty this film was critical panned and ruined Alex Cox’s Hollywood career. A real hidden gem and I encourage all to check it out.
