Have you heard of Marlo’s hierarchy of needs? Hunger pangs and the cold hard cement of a homeless night are top of mind when you’re broke, scared, and hungry. It’s only when people have sustainable lives can they worry about a sustainable environment.

While I agree, we need to get people on board to care about the environment, and to make sure they’re in a safe spot because if all they’re worrying about is how to pay their bills, they might not be worried about trees.
