Now I work from home for myself and let me tell you? It's great.

I quit my job about a year after that; I knew I wasn't happy there. Sometimes finding pockets of joy in our days trains us to spend more time doing things that feel good. I think we're meant to be happier than most of us are.

I would laugh to myself about my puzzle parties. My Puzzle Reward Experiences. "Ha, ha! My life is just like Severance!", I'd think, and I'd watch the clock in the fluorescent lit, windowless break room as it counted down the minutes until I had to be back at my desk.
