A new addition to the grocery store’s beer shelf: Kamakura Route 134 Beer. A “bitter/delicious IPA.”
It’s decent, but like a lot of Japanese IPAs it’s not as aggressively hoppy as is the trend on the West Coast of the US.

Made baby back ribs in the Instant Pot. Did a rub beforehand and made the barbecue sauce myself with bourbon, brown sugar, etc.
They were fall-off-the-bone tender, so it looks like a mess (didn’t hold together from pot to oven to plate), but they tasted fantastic.

I’ve lived in this part of town for ten years and this is my first tanuki sighting. Probably not a good sign, I suspect it’s a result of construction encroaching on this dude’s habitat, but still neat to see.
