Very exciting piece - check out Rob's music!
Excited to announce “TECHNO-UTOPIA”, my new concerto for Zubin Kanga commissioned by the BBC Philharmonic and Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. TECHNO-UTOPIA explores memory, magic, ruthless algorithms, and what makes music more than just data.

I'm giving my first ever talk about my music at a conservatoire in a couple of months and am trying to work out what would actually be helpful for me to say.

I remember seeing lots of these talks myself back at RAM and I did pretty much enjoy them, and enjoyed being exposed to a lot of music 1/3

first bsky post!

Just published this live recording of "content" for sax & electronics.

This is a huge and crazy piece about the Internet, for the incredible David Zucchi & recorded at its premiere 2 weeks ago. Really happy with this one.

my newest piece is ECHO ECHO, a commission from the London Sinfonietta that I have dedicated to Jeremy Peyton Jones, whose kindness and encouragement gave me the confidence I needed to seriously pursue a career as a composer.

Back to metamodernism and collaborators! Last month, I had the pleasure of writing the programme note for @robinhaigh.bsky.social's 'Concerto for Orchestra,' premiered in the UK by the RLPO. A fascinating piece that's well worth exploring—listen and read more here: robinhaigh.com/Concerto-for...
