Wednesday trip to #Ruidoso was startling. Roadways and bridges were clear, but there is so much work to do. The local consensus was “at least the floods didn’t happen on the weekend while the tourists were here.”

Day 17 of this respiratory illness. My nurse, annoyed by the disruption of our daily walk regimen, is resigned to snuggles between snacks. #mountainlife

The neighbors say these koi are bad for the pond, but these same people fish for (stocked) trout from its bank. It may be wrong, but I’m rooting for these little orange badasses. #mountainlife

So the groundhog sees his shadow because it’s sunny and warm, and we say have 6 more weeks of Winter; but if it’s cold and dreary he stays out and it’s Spring? How do we even know the vision acuity of a groundhog?!? Bill Murray will keep investigating until we realize how dumb this holiday is.
