Yeah, her and Himeko both read to me very strongly as the mom (or mom friend if you read the group dynamics as familial or not) of their respective groups. They both try to keep everyone together and safe pretty much all the time we see them even if their end goals are different.

Yeah, if the Stellaron Hunters were all incredibly mean and antagonistic to each other I guess it could work? But they are very much a group who deeply care about one another and their well-being, so it makes zero sense unless you really twist things

Nah you're cooking here. If SAM were her deadname why would she still be using it openly and actively? It being an alias while doing Stellaron Hunter things to protect her future as Firefly just makes way more sense
